It’s spooky season
‘tis the season to be jolly, mua-ha-ha-ha-haaaa, ha-ha-ha-ha. Oh, wait a second…
What I’m playing this week
I don’t know about you, but I love board games! Recently, I picked up a new (new-to-me) board game from Facebook Marketplace: BOOop.
BOOop is an updated version of Boop. only spookier. It’s a great, low-effort, quick, 2-player game. The goal is to line up three kittens to graduate them into three cats, and then get three cats in a row to win!
Tip: If you’re like me and lack any strategic bones, I suggest letting your opponent only receive one big cat instead of three.
Pumpkin carving tips
Every year I forget what an ordeal it is to carve pumpkins. Carving is great, but the de-gutting…not my favourite.
I carved the ghost cat and drew on “BOOP”, and the wolf+moon was carved by my partner. I would’ve carved the “BOOP” pumpkin except the bottom grew something wet, fuzzy, and white, so I assumed the inside had also gone moldy. That was not something I was willing to risk.
Tip: For getting out the guts, I recommend a grapefruit spoon! These are spoons with serrated edges, which make scraping out the guts much easier than the plastic scoops most kits provide. Grab near the bowl of the spoon and scoop away!
Also, I definitely didn’t accidentally chop off part of my ghost cat and then super-glue it back on. Comment below if you think you know which part has been glued on!
