Bio

I’m a Chinese-adoptee with roots in Nova Scotia and Colorado, which I draw from to inform and inspire the world-building and magic systems in my writing. Meanwhile, spreadsheets of plot and lore are fueled by my degree in engineering.

If I’m not concocting impossible choices with devastating consequences for my characters, I can be found at brunch enjoying a dairy-free chocolate chai.

Fun Facts

⟡ I grew up spelling things the British way and still prefer it. Tell me “colour” doesn’t look more elegant with a “u”.

⟡ Ich kann Deutsch sprechen und habe ein Jahr lang in Münster, Nordrhein-Westfalen, als Fremdsprachenassistentin gelebt. (I can speak German and lived in Münster, North Rhein-Westphalia for a year as an English teaching assistant.)
